Laser hair removal is a fast, gentle and effective way to remove unwanted hair with permanent results. Our experienced Aesthetic Therapists use FDA approved Medical Grade Diode Laser machine, the world’s most efficient hair reduction system.
What are the benefits?
Designed with sensitive skin in mind, these lasers are safe enough to be used on any part of the body and target all skin types whilst ensuring maximum results. Our lasers feature a Unichill™ technology which is a unique dynamic cooling tip that helps to calm, soothe and protect the skin.
Results can be seen in as little as 3 – 6 sessions.
The laser works by directing concentrated light into the hair follicle inhibiting the hair’s ability to grow without disrupting or damaging the skin’s surface.
Our lasers use a wide beam which allows the removal of multiple hair follicles at the same time.
Our experienced Aesthetic Therapists will take your skin and hair type into account before creating a personalised treatment plan.
Our Razorlase 808nm diode laser machine is designed to work for clients with all skin types.
We do not use IPL devices for laser hair removal. Using laser rather than IPL devices ensures a greater chance of permanent laser hair removal. Laser hair removal is safe and effective.
Your skin may appear red and feel hot. This is perfectly normal. There may be slight swelling around hair follicle. Hyperpigmentation or hypopigmentation may occur albeit rare. SPF is highly recommended especially when treating any exposed area. Delayed shedding may occur where your hair can take 2 weeks to fall out and during that time can appear to look as if it is growing. This is temporary and the hair will fall out after approximately 2 weeks.
Laser hair removal is quick, safe and effective. It is important to attend a competent practitioner. Your Aesthetic Therapist will discuss potential risks with you at your initial consultation. Laser hair removal side effects are rare if you have a patch test prior to your treatment and adhere to the pre procedure and post procedure advice given.
The hair must be given adequate time between treatments for a new growth of anagen hair to come through. For some patients more hair is visible after the first laser session due to synchronization of hair growing through in the anagen phase. Usually between 6 to 8 weeks is required between sessions.
Recent unprotected sun exposure, 1 week.
Tanned skin (best waiting until tan has lightened)
Fake tan applied less than one week
Waxed epilated or tweezed hair in the treatment area (because you are treating the hair follicle not the surface hair)
Known photosensitising reaction (discuss this with your practitioner before proceeding)
Open lesions, cuts etc.
